Fine Arts, Design and Architecture Students’ social responsibility project

Faculty of Fine Arts, Design and Architecture of Cyprus International University(CIU)  organized a student projects exhibition that drew a lot of attention from enthusiasts. 
The exhibition was held at CIU Art and Exhibition Gallery and CIU Rector Prof. Dr. Halil Nadiri, Mayor of Nicosia Turkish Municipality (LTB) Mehmet Harmancı and Dean of Faculty of Fine Arts, Design and Architecture Prof. Dr. Cemil Atakara delivered the opening speeches.  

In his speech opening speech, Rector Nadiri congratulated the students for the works they created and emphasized their success in training future architects and creative graphic designers. Nadiri stated that CIU will continue to strengthen their cooperation with LTB, adding he truly believed that these studies will inspire new projects.

LTB Mayor Harmancı expressed his satisfaction with their cooperation with CIU in terms of community service and stated that thanks to the exhibition organized as a result of this cooperation, the first step toward  creating a recreational area in Nicosia has been achieved. He also stated that a joint committee to be established will work harmoniously to complete this project and added they valued all cooperative partnerships.

Dean Atakara also stated that a wide range of student projects ranging from  architectural designs, interior designs to graphic and product designs were showcased in the exhibition, and noted that a park project designed especially for the city of Nicosia contributed to the students' academic success as well as their social responsibility awareness.

Following the opening speeches, the event ended with the participants touring the exhibition.
