CIU Orientation Days Held

With the start of the 2025–2026 academic year, Cyprus International University (CIU) welcomed its new students. Orientation days, organized by the CIU Social Activities and Clubs Coordination Office for newly enrolled students, took place between September 12 and October 3.

As part of the orientation program, cultural activities included a Nicosia city tour, the International Communities Festival, a hand-printing on canvas activity, field games, Color Fest, and a "Welcome Home" party. Additionally, campus tours were organized to help new students become familiar with the university environment.

From the moment the new students arrived on the island, welcome teams provided guidance and support. Information stands and help/support points are set up across the CIU campus aimed to ensure a smooth adaptation process to university and island life. During the orientation period, 54 student clubs had the opportunity to introduce themselves to new students by setting up promotional stands. These stands provided information about activities of clubs, upcoming events throughout the year, and how to get involved.

As part of the rich event program during the orientation days, the Nicosia city tour introduced students to the city's historical landmarks, starting from the Kyrenia Gate and continuing through Samanbahça and Büyük Han.
Aimed at helping new students socialize, strengthen their sense of belonging, and experience the cultural diversity of CIU, the orientation days were sponsored by KKTC TELSIM. The events concluded with the Color Fest and the "Welcome Home" party, featuring performances by DJ Ece Kanmaz, the band REVA, and DJ Görkem.
