About

The Cyprus International University Faculty of Pharmacy, started its education in the 2011-2012 academic year, with the 5-year M.Pharm. and 6-year Pharm.D. degrees. The faculty is accredited by the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (Nigeria Pharmacy Council) since 2017, offering students national and international education opportunities.

Mission and Vision

The Cyprus International University Faculty of Pharmacy, is a faculty that provides education in light of new scientific developments, in the field of medicine and pharmacy, considering public health and awareness as its primary priority. The faculty aims to raise students who are scientifically and socially responsible, have critical thinking, equitable, ethical, democratic and secular, and equipped to provide pharmacy services with an internationally accepted academic environment in education and research.

The Faculty of Pharmacy takes an active role in all stages of the pharmaceutical process, from the research and development of pharmaceutical raw materials and products, to their presentation to the patient and its monitoring in the body, in the provided international academic environment. The faculty educates pharmacists who have the competence to serve social health and ethical values with patient-oriented thinking, by contributing to scientific studies in this field.

Accreditations

Pharmacy (MPharm) and Pharmacy (PharmD) programs of the faculty are accredited by the Accreditation Agency in Health and Social Sciences (AHPGS).

EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES

The Faculty of Pharmacy offers a 5-year M.Pharm. and 6-year Pharm.D. programs. In the Pharm.D. program, the first 5 years are parallel with the M.Pharm. program, and the 6th year of the program consists of practices and internships with further classes. Program is accredited by the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (Nigeria Pharmacy Council), focuses on laboratory studies as well as theoretical courses. In addition to the courses offered by the expert training staff, students have the opportunity to concentrate on their preferred branches by preparing a graduation project in their final year, under the supervision of faculty members.

The Faculty of Pharmacy Drug Information Center provides services to answer questions regarding drug interactions, side effects and other drug-related issues by its team of Clinical Pharmacy Faculty members and PhD students.
